Experiencing or hearing about a traumatic event may cause trauma. You may have felt emotionally, psychologically or physically threatened.
It could have been a car accident, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, or an exposure to a natural disaster. It may have happened to you or you may have been a witness to the event or have been affected by the knowledge that it happened to a friend or family member.
We are experienced in providing support in identifying, understanding and diffusing emotions, thoughts and behaviours that feel overwhelming and confusing following such an event.
In addition to debriefing, we are qualified to offer Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) intervention where appropriate.
