Jade Maxwell Newton

Jade qualified in counselling at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). She has worked as a trauma and crisis counsellor at the Claremont Police Trauma Room and has provided a confidential and safe counselling space to individuals who have been involved in cases that included home invasions, suicide, domestic violence and rape.

Jade spent five rewarding years at St Lukes Hospice working in the field of palliative care and supporting individuals with incurable diagnosis. She worked as the Bereavement Team manager coordinating teams of volunteer counsellors providing psychosocial support to families.

Jade is passionate about working with families who are facing times of transition such as preparation for the birth of a new baby, preparation for marriage, retirement or divorce.
